Alexis FitzGerald junior
Alexis JG FitzGerald junior (born May 7, 1945 - July 15, 2015 in Dublin ) was an Irish politician .
Career
FitzGerald served as a member of the City Council of Dublin from June 1981 to June 1982 as Lord Mayor of Dublin . He was also a member of the 15th Seanad Éireann from 1981 to 1982 and then sat in the 23rd Dáil Éireann during 1982 . In the 1982 elections for the 24th Dáil Éireann, he was unable to defend his mandate . From 1983 to 1987 he was again a member of the Seanad Éireann. FitzGerald then retired from politics and returned to the real estate business.
Private life
FitzGerald had been married to Mary Flaherty since 1982 and had four children. He was a nephew of the Irish politician Alexis FitzGerald senior .
