Alexis Machuron
Alexis Machuron was a mechanic in his uncle Henri Lachambre's balloon factory in Vaugirard.
Machuron was also Lachambre's representative for the delivery and departure of the balloon of the North Pole expedition of the Swede Salomon August Andrée in 1897 ( Andrées polar expedition of 1897 ). Together with Lachambre he wrote a book about this expedition. This book brought the young Alberto Santos-Dumont to aviation.
