Alexium International is an Australian chemical company , the flame retardant and silane - nanoparticles produces.
Alexium was founded in 2009 to commercialize the Reactive Surface Treatment technology developed by the US Department of Defense . It allows the surface of nanoparticles to be modified and functional groups to be added to achieve a wide range of properties.
Since 2011 chemicals for the flameproof finishing of textiles have also been produced ( Alexiflam ), which currently accounts for the majority of sales.
