Alf Tommy Andersen (born June 26, 1928 in Taastrup ; † March 26, 2010 ) was a Danish opera singer ( bass baritone ) and actor.

Career

Alf Andersen, who sang in the choir of the Royal Theater in Copenhagen since 1948 , was initially tutored by his brother, the opera singer Willy Andersen . From 1950 to 1953 he received his singing training at the opera school of the Royal Theater; He made his stage debut in 1953 as Osmin in Abduction from the Seraglio at the Fynske Opera . Since 1954 he was engaged at the Royal Theater and sang more than 80 different opera roles there in the course of his career, for example as Dr. Bartolo in the Barber of Seville , as Marcello in La Bohème or Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte . In 1971 he sang the title role in Wozzeck. In addition to his singing career, Andersen also played a few supporting roles in film and television, including in three films by the Olsen Gang . He retired in 1984 at the age of 56.
