Alfons Novickis
Alfons Novickis (born November 12, 1906 in Riga ; † November 3, 1931 there ) was a Latvian national football player .
Novickis, who was active as a midfielder, began his career at LNJS Riga . From there he moved to Rigas FK and later to Rigas Vanderer . Between 1929 and 1931 he completed nine international matches for the national team of Latvia . He committed suicide on November 3, 1931 because he suffered from a severe alcohol problem.
