Alfred Bachofer

Alfred Bachofer (* 1942 in Aalen ) is a German local politician.

Bachofer grew up in a family of craftsmen in Wasseralfingen . After high school and business school, he completed his training as a senior administrative service. After passing his state examination in 1966, he took up a position as a specialist in finance in Zell am Neckar . In 1969 he was elected mayor of Kuppenheim and was re-elected in 1977. In 1979, Alfred Bachofer won the election of mayor in Nürtingen as the successor to Karl Gonser , and in 1980 he took office. After three terms he did not stand for office again in 2004. Until 2014, Bachofer was a member of the district assembly in Esslingen and the regional assembly of the Stuttgart Region Association for the Free Voters .
