Zell is a district of Esslingen am Neckar . It is located on the eastern edge of the urban area.

history

The formerly independent municipality of Zell am Neckar was first mentioned in a document in 1229. In the 13th century it was owned by the Counts of Aichelberg .

On July 1, 1974, Zell was incorporated into Esslingen. Part of the contract was the receipt of its own local administration in the town hall of Zell.

politics

A local council was elected for the last time in Zell on June 13, 2004 . After the end of the electoral term, the local constitution was abolished on September 1, 2009 . The last local council had 12 members. During a public town hall meeting , the first was on 25 June 2009 citizens' committee cell with 15 seats elected for 3 years.
