Location of Krummenacker in Esslingen am Neckar

Krummenacker is a district of Esslingen am Neckar in the north-west of the city. The neighboring districts are Rüdern , Sulzgries , Serach and Obertal .

Krummenacker was first mentioned in a document in 1229. The hamlet from the Staufer period was granted citizenship in Esslingen in 1399 at the latest. The population on the semi-altitude lived mainly from viticulture and barren agriculture.

Krummenacker has been a popular residential area since the 20th century.

Community center RSKN

The community center RSKN , Sulzgrieser Str. 170 was officially opened on November 28 of 2009. It is located on the borders of the three suburbs Rüdern, Sulzgries and Krummenacker. The community center should be a common roof for groups and associations. It was bought from the fortune of the founder Richard Clauss and rebuilt. On July 16, 2007, the Bürgerhaus Foundation in RSKN acquired its legal capacity. There is a drinks dealer on the ground floor.
