Johannes Fridrich

Johannes Fridrich (born October 11, 1977 in Tübingen ) is an independent local politician and has been Lord Mayor of Nürtingen since August 1, 2019 .

Life

After graduating from Kepler-Gymnasium in Tübingen , he studied law at the University of Tübingen and at the University of Aix-Marseille . He then completed his legal clerkship at the Tübingen Regional Court. After completing the second state examination in law, he worked as a research assistant at the chair of Heinz-Dieter Assmann at the University of Tübingen, where he did his doctorate with a thesis on the subject of "Protecting the capital of the stock corporation in the event of outside-financed takeovers". After completing his legal training, he entered the higher justice service in the state of Baden-Württemberg. There he was u. a. employed as judge at the regional court and speaker at the Ministry of Social Affairs in Baden-Württemberg . He was also the press spokesman for the Stuttgart Regional Court .

On May 5, 2019, he won the mayoral election in Nürtingen with 54.98 percent of the votes in the first ballot. He took office on August 1, 2019.
