Alfred Broger

Alfred Broger (born September 26, 1922 in Appenzell ; † January 24, 2011 ibid), known as Chrönis Fred , was a Swiss graphic artist and painter .

Career

Broger graduated as a graphic designer and textile draftsman. He stayed in a wide variety of places such as Paris, London and Zurich. From 1973 he lived as a freelance painter in Appenzell. He worked in different styles from naturalistic to abstract. In 1997 he was named Sports Artist of the Year. He took part in numerous exhibitions in Switzerland.
