Alfred Frank Millidge

Alfred Frank Millidge , called Frank, (born January 7, 1914 in Newport , Isle of Wight , † April 16, 2012 ) was a British arachnologist . He worked at the American Museum of Natural History .

He is best known for his standard work British Spiders with George Hazelwood Locket . More than 100 first descriptions of species come from him and a number of spider species are also named after him. He was a specialist in the canopy spider family (Linyphiidae).
