Alfred Frauscher

Alfred Frauscher (born May 22, 1954 in Ried im Innkreis ) is an Upper Austrian state parliament member of the ÖVP . He is married and has three children.

After attending primary school in Ried im Innkreis, Alfred Frauscher graduated from the local grammar school. After graduating from high school in 1972, he studied technical chemistry from 1974.

Frauscher runs the Rieder company Frauscher Ges.mbH & Co., founded in 1948. His company is active in the transport industry and extracts sand and gravel. Frauscher is also the managing director of AEV, a waste disposal and recycling company, and operates a large composting plant. He has been a member of the Ried City Council since 1991 and has been Vice President of the Ried Exhibition Center since 1999. Frauscher is also a member of the supervisory board of the Ried im Innkreis technology center. In 2000 Frauscher was elected district chairman of the Ried Economic Association and Chamber of Commerce. Frauscher has represented the ÖVP in the Upper Austrian state parliament since October 23, 2003.
