Alfred Gerdes (born October 24, 1916 in Berlin ; † December 10, 1962 ; also Fredy Gerdes ) was a German hockey player .

At the age of 18, Gerdes took part in the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin . There he played in three games, first in the two wins in the preliminary round and in the semi-finals, then in the 8-1 defeat against defending champions India in the final. Before that, Afghanistan had been defeated 4-1 and the Netherlands 3-0.

In 1936 Gerdes was a player at Münchner SC .
