history

The place was first mentioned in 1288 as "Hofsteten" in the will of Wolfram von Dornberg . In this he bequeathed part of his property, which also included Höfstetten, to the Counts of Oettingen .

In the 16-point report of the Oberamt Ansbach from 1684 7 teams were recorded for Höfstetten, all of which had the Stiftsamt Ansbach as landlord . The high court and the village and community authority exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbachische Hofkastenamt Ansbach .

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 9 properties in Höfstetten (2 courtyards, 1 half courtyard, 2 Köblergüter , 1 Söldengut , 1 Mühlgut, 1 mill with brickworks ) and a community shepherd's house. The high court continued to exercise the court box office in Ansbach. The Abbey Office of Ansbach held the village and community rulership and the land lordship over all properties . From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the municipal edict, Höfstetten was assigned to the Brodswinden tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Brodswinden, founded in 1811 . This was incorporated into the city of Ansbach on July 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform . In recent years the place has grown considerably with new buildings.
