Untereichenbach (colloquially: "Underách ə ba" or "Nid ə rách ə ba") is a district of the independent city of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village lies on the Eichenbach, a left tributary of the Franconian Rezat , and on a nameless brook, which flows into the Eichenbach as a left tributary. A community road leads to Eyb (1.2 km southwest) or to the Bismarck barracks of the US Army (0.7 km east). Another community road leads to the B 14 (1.5 km north) between Obereichenbach (0.7 km west) and Katterbach (1 km west), another community road leads to Kaltengreuth (1 km south).

history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1317 as "Nidern Eichenbach". The place name is derived from an identical water body name, the defining word of which is the tree genus oak . Originally, the place was under the local nobility of the Aycher.

In 1460, Duke Louis IX attacked. of Bavaria and its allies the Ansbach Margrave Albrecht Achilles . They looted and destroyed Eyb and the neighboring villages of Alberndorf , Grüb , Hirschbronn , Katterbach , Obereichenbach , Pfaffengreuth and Untereichenbach by fire .

In the 16-point report of the Ansbach District Office from 1684, nine teams were recorded for Untereichenbach. Two properties (one yard, one Gütlein) were subordinate to the Ansbach court box office , five properties to the Ansbach monastery and two properties to the mayor and council of Ansbach . There was also a communal shepherd's house. The high court and village and community rulership was exercised by the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were twelve properties and a community shepherd's house in Untereichenbach with the Schockenmühle. The court box office in Ansbach continued to exercise the high court and the village and community rule. The Principality of Ansbach was the landlord of all properties (Hofkastenamt Ansbach: 2 half-yards, 1 Köblergut , 1 empty building ; Stiftsamt Ansbach: 1 yard, 2 half-yards, 1 estate, 1 Köblergut, 1 mill; Ansbach Council: 1 yard, 1 Mühlgut). From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

With the community edict, Untereichenbach was assigned to the Eyb tax district, which was formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Eyb, founded in 1811 . This was incorporated into the city of Ansbach on October 1, 1970, after the regional reform in Bavaria .
