The state road 2221 leads to Hohe Fichte to a junction of the B 13 (0.4 km north) or to Burgoberbach (1.2 km south).

history

Claffheim was first mentioned on May 14, 1268 in a document in which the knight Hugo von Claffheim and the scholaster Otto des Gumbertus-Stift agreed on the goods in the place. Like Winterschneidbach, Claffheim originally belonged to the original parish of Saxony .

In Würzburg fief book , which was created from 1303 to 1313, were for the place 1 yard and 2 Seldenhäuser recorded over which the lords of Heideck the manorial had and bailiwick. The monastery Heilsbronn bought in 1318 by Gottfried von Heideck and Dietrich skewer of Onolzbach a courtyard and two Sölden goods. In 1456 the so-called Trautmannswiese between Deßmannsdorf and Claffheim was acquired by the citizen Muselt from Ansbach. The monastery acquired a total of six properties in the village.

In the 16-point report of the Heilsbronnian Vogtamt Merkendorf from the year 1616 2 farms and 3 goods were given for Claffheim, which were subordinate to the administration office Merkendorf . The properties of other landlords were not listed. In the Thirty Years' War all Heilsbronn properties were deserted.

In the 16-point report of the Oberamt Ansbach from 1684 17 teams are listed for Claffheim: 1 property was subordinate to the court box office Ansbach , 4 properties to the monastery office Ansbach , 5 properties to the administration office Merkendorf , 1 property to the mayor and council of Ansbach , 5 properties to a gentleman von Mohr and 1 property to the Privy Councilor Forester. The high court and the village and community authority exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbachische Hofkastenamt Ansbach.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 21 subject families in Claffheim, of which 16 had Ansbach offices as landlords. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

In 1806 Claffheim came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the community edict, Claffheim was assigned to the Burgoberbach tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Burgoberbach , which was founded a little later . With the second community edict (1818) Claffheim became a rural community with Hohe Fichte . The municipality was under the administration and jurisdiction of the Herrieden district court and in the financial administration of the Herrieden rent office (from 1920: Herrieden tax office , from 1950: Ansbach tax office ).

In the years 1821 and 1822, the district court of Ansbach tried to incorporate Claffheim, Hohe Fichte , Seebronn and Winterschneidbach , which were subordinate to the Herriedener district court , but this failed due to the lack of interest on the part of the affected areas. In 1846 at the latest, Winterschneidbach was reassigned from Burgoberbach to Claffheim. From 1862 Claffheim was administered by the Feuchtwangen district office ( renamed Feuchtwangen district in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained until 1879 the District Court Herrieden, since 1880 district court Herrieden , 1950 District Court Ansbach . The municipality had an area of 6.353 km².

In the course of the regional reform , the community was incorporated into Ansbach on July 1, 1972.

A waste incineration plant ( Thermoselect process) was built near the town, but its commissioning was never approved.
