Daniele Conti (born January 9, 1979 in Nettuno ) is a former Italian football player who played predominantly in midfield .
Career
Conti began his career at AS Roma , where he was first used in various youth teams. Conti was first used in the professional team in the 1996/97 season. After three years at AS Roma, where he was only used five times, he moved to Cagliari Calcio . He was active for Cagliari for 16 years and became the club's record player after playing there.
He was appointed to the Italian U-21 national team a total of four times in 1999 and 2000 and came on August 16, 2000 in the international match against Mexico for his only appearance for the Azzurrini .

Conti is the son of the former Roma player Bruno Conti . His older brother Andrea is also a professional soccer player and currently plays for AC Bellinzona in Switzerland .
