Scheermühle (colloquially: Schärmil ) is a district of the independent city of Ansbach in the administrative region of Middle Franconia .

geography

The wasteland is near the Scheerweiher on the Onolzbach , a right tributary of the Franconian Rezat . The Scheerweiher has been recognized as a nature reserve . Approx. The Bocksberg ( 480  m above sea level ) rises 0.5 km to the northeast . A community road leads to Steinersdorf (1.4 km north) or to Schalkhausen to state road 2246 (0.3 km south).

history

The place was first mentioned by name in the second half of the 14th century as "Mulner an dem Scherchten-weier". The pond itself got its name because of its scissor-shaped shape.

The current building was probably erected in the 17th century, as indicated by a wooden coat of arms in the gable of one of the half-timbered houses, which is designated 1697. A bust of an angel holds a Brandenburg coat of arms on the coat of arms. The mill has not been in operation for several decades.

At the end of the 18th century the Scheermühle belonged to Schalkhausen. The mill had the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach as landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, Scheermühle was given house number 22 in the town of Schalkhausen. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the municipal edict, the Scheermühle was assigned to the Schalkhausen tax district formed in 1808 . She also belonged to the rural community of Schalkhausen founded in 1811 . This was incorporated into the city of Ansbach on July 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform .

The place has been Protestant since the Reformation. The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Nikolaus (Schalkhausen) , the residents of the Roman Catholic denomination are parish to St. Ludwig (Ansbach) .
