Hammerschmiede (colloquially: "Hamə ɹ schmidn") is a district of the independent city of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .
geography
The wasteland lies on the Silberbach, a right tributary of the Franconian Rezat . A local lane leads 70 meters further west to a community road that runs to Wallersdorf (0.2 km south) or to Steinbach (2 km northeast).
history
The place was first mentioned in 1677 with the name "Eyssenhammer", 1732 as "Hammerschmitte", and 1818 as "Hammermühl".
Towards the end of the 18th century, the hammer forge belonged to Wallersdorf . The mill had the Brandenburg-Ansbach Abbey Office in Ansbach as the landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792-1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the hammer forge was given house number 1 in Wallersdorf. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .
As part of the community edict, Hammerschmiede was assigned to the Brodswinden tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Brodswinden, founded in 1811 . This was incorporated into the city of Ansbach on July 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform .
