Gösseldorf (colloquially: "Gesldorf") is a district of the independent city of Ansbach in Middle Franconia .

geography

The Brachfeld lies southeast of the village, the Buckfeld approx. 500 meters south, and the Schellenholz begins to the northwest. The A 6 runs immediately south of the town, and the Treuchtlingen – Würzburg railway line runs immediately to the west . A community road leads to Wolfartswinden (0.5 km southeast) or to Winterschneidbach to the district road ANs 1 (1.2 km southwest). Another community road also leads to ANs 1 (0.8 km south).

history

The place was first mentioned by name in 1342 with the name "Gostelnorf". There are two attempts at interpretation:

  • The derivation from the German personal name Gozilo, whereby the change from z to st is linguistically absurd
  • the derivation of the Slavic personal name Gostilo, with which it could be a Wendensiedlung. However, this is contradicted by the fact that the place did not even exist at the time of Wolfram von Dornberg's will (1288), but the Wendish settlements around Ansbach were established in the 10th century. It would be conceivable, however, that Gösseldorf is a subsidiary of the neighboring Wolfartswinden .

In 1352 Ludwig von Eyb and his wife Adelheid handed over two estates in Gösseldorf to Heilsbronn Monastery . In 1399, Apel von Seckendorff sold a Söldengut in Gösseldorf to the Gumbertusstift .

In the 16-point report of the Brandenburg-Ansbach house and castle Triesdorf from 1616, 2 teams were specified for Gösseldorf. The other landlords were not listed. In the 16-point report of the Ansbach District Office from 1684 it was noted that Gösseldorf forms a community with Wolfartswinden.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 10 properties and a community shepherd's house in Gösseldorf. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach Hofkastenamt Ansbach . The village and township government had the pen Office Ansbach held. All properties had the Principality of Ansbach as the landlord (Stiftsamt Ansbach: 3 half courtyards, 1 quarter courtyard, 1 estate, 3 Gütlein, 1 Söldengut ; Ansbach Council : 1 Söldengut). There were 12 subject families. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the municipal edict, Gösseldorf was assigned to the Brodswinden tax district, formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Brodswinden, founded in 1811 .

This was incorporated into the city of Ansbach on July 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform .
