history

Nehdorf is mentioned in the will of the last Dornberger zu Vestenberg , Wolfram von Dornberg, dated June 8, 1288; After his death (this took place on June 9, 1288), compensation payments were to be made from the income of a farm there, which he had bought from Sifrid von See. In 1291 a foundation was established at Heilsbronn Monastery from this and other income from the inheritance . The Nehdorfer Hof passed to the Lords of Heideck , who owned it together with the Counts of Oettingen around 1300 . In 1447, Count Johann von Oettingen issued a letter of fief to a Karl Holzschuher for this purpose .

In the 16-point report of the Heilsbronnian Vogtamt Merkendorf from the year 1616 2 farms, 4 half farms and 3 estates are specified for Nehdorf, which were subordinate to the Merkendorf administration office. The Merkendorf administration office also exercised community law and the shepherd's crook. The Fraisch held the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach . During the Thirty Years' War the place burned down and became deserted.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 16 subject families in Nehdorf, all of whom were Ansbachian. At that time, the place already belonged to the Fraisch district of the Ansbach District Office . From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the community edict, Nehdorf was assigned to the Großbreitenbronn tax district, formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Großbreitenbronn , which was founded a little later . With the second community edict (1818) Nehdorf was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community of Leidendorf . On July 1, 1971, it was incorporated into the Weidenbach market as part of the regional reform .
