history

The monastery Heilsbronn bought there his first article in 1319 by Wolfram von casting village . In 1331 the monastery acquired an estate from Heinrich von Muhr , and in 1343 the mill from the widow of Mr. Meinward des Fricken von Oettingen. In the following time there were further acquisitions, so that a total of seven goods were subordinate to the monastery. In addition to Heilsbronn, there was the Gumbertuss pen as village lords.

In the 16-point report of the Heilsbronn Vogtamt Merkendorf from 1616, 2 farms and 5 goods were specified for Weiherschneidbach, which were subordinate to the Merkendorf administration office. The properties of other landlords are not listed. The Merkendorf administration office also exercised community law and the shepherd's crook. The Fraisch held the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste and city bailiff's office in Windsbach . During the Thirty Years War , all seven Heilsbronn estates were deserted.

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 23 subject families in Weiherschneidbach, 16 of which were Ansbachian. At that time, the place already belonged to the Fraisch district of the Ansbach District Office . From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

In the geographic statistical-topographic lexicon of Franconia (1804) the place is described as follows:

" Weyherschneidbach, hamlet in the Margravial Oberamte Ansbach of 23 subjects, one of which is Eichstättisch, namely the Oberland Ober- and Stadtvogteyamte Wahrberg Herrieden. It was bought by Burkard von Wolmershausen and his wife, a noblewoman from Adelmannsfelden, at Eichstätt in 1533. It is this hamlet 2 hours southeast of Herrieden against Triesdorf between Leidendorf and Niederoberbach, and belongs to the parish of Burgoberbach.
Weyherschneidbacher Weyher, in the hamlet of Weyherschneidbach there is a 7-day-long princely Eichstätt pond belonging to the Herrieden caste office, from which the place itself got its first name; it is not so close to water as it is to pure moss so deep that you cannot reach solid ground with poles and even with large trees, the local Ansbach miller grinds it. "

As part of the community edict, Weiherschneidbach was assigned to the Burgoberbach tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community of Burgoberbach , which was founded a little later . With the second community edict (1818) Weiherschneidbach became an independent rural community. In 1846 at the latest, this community was incorporated into the rural community of Leidendorf , as can be seen from the statistical handbook and address book of Middle Franconia .

On July 1, 1971, Leidendorf was incorporated into the market Weidenbach as part of the regional reform .
