history

In 1377 Arnold von Seckendorff sold two goods in Esbach to the St. Gumbertus monastery in Ansbach. In 1388 Friedrich and Johann von Heideck assigned their fiefs to Weidenbach and Esbach to Arnold von Seckendorff.

In the 16-point report of the Principality of Ansbach from 1684, 15 teams are recorded for Esbach: 14 properties were subordinate to the Ansbach court box office , 1 property to the Ansbach monastery office . The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach court box office in Ansbach, the village and community rule was held by the Ansbach monastery office. The margravial pheasantry had existed between Esbach and Weidenbach since 1715 .

At the end of the 18th century there were 19 subject families in Esbach, all of whom were Ansbachian. From 1797 to 1808 the place was under the judiciary and chamber office of Ansbach .

As part of the community edict, Esbach was assigned to the Weidenbach tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the rural community Weidenbach , which was founded a little later . With the second community edict (1818) Esbach broke away from Irrebach and formed its own rural community. In administration and jurisdiction, it was subject to the Herrieden district court and in financial administration to the Herrieden Rent Office . By 1846 at the latest, this community was incorporated into the rural community of Leidendorf , as can be seen from the statistical handbook and address book of Middle Franconia . The work mentions that there was a landlord and two weavers in the village.

On July 1, 1971, Esbach was incorporated into the Weidenbach market as part of the regional reform .
