Alfred Grossmann
Alfred Großmann is a German table tennis player . He took part in the 1959 World Cup.
Großmann played for TSV Schwabach in the 1950s. He recovered from a serious injury in a traffic accident in 1956.
In 1959 he was nominated for the individual competitions of the World Cup in Dortmund. Here he won the singles against Roger Desormeux (Canada) and Harry O'Prey (Ireland) before retiring against Heinz Reimann (GDR). The doubles with Werner Kümmerle survived the first round against Vahaken Ohannessian / Marcel Barsoumian (Lebanon), but then lost to the Poles Antoni Arbach / Waldemar Roslan.
