Alfred Haberl
Alfred Haberl (born September 22, 1921 in Rottenmann ; † November 13, 2006 in Liezen ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). From 1953 to 1979 he was a member of the Austrian National Council .
Life
After completing compulsory school, Haberl worked as an industrial employee and managing director. He married Johanna Bernreiter in June 1958 and moved to Liezen in 1959. His two daughters and son were born between 1957 and 1962. Haberl held the office of chairman of the non-profit housing and settlement cooperative between 1952 and 1995 and was CEO of Konsum. He was also president of the WSV Liezen, deputy district chairman of the SPÖ Liezen and a member of the regional party executive committee of the SPÖ Styria and the SPÖ central party executive committee. He represented the SPÖ from March 18, 1953 to June 4, 1979 in the National Council.

- 1974: Great Gold Medal of Honor for Services to the Republic of Austria
- 1980: Large Silver Decoration with the Star for Services to the Republic of Austria
- 1981: Ring of honor of the city of Liezen
