Alfred Russel

Alfred Russel (born October 12, 1882 in Berlin , † May 10, 1959 in Koblenz ) was a German district administrator.

Live and act

After attending the humanistic grammar schools in Berlin and Fulda, Alfred Russel studied law and passed his first state examination in law in 1905 . After working as a legal trainee at the Berlin Court of Appeal from November 20, 1906 , he switched to administration in January 1907 and became a government trainee on March 11, 1918 and, after the state examination, a government assessor . He was employed by the Breslau government and the Trebnitz district office before he was appointed district administrator of the Steinfurt district in August 1919 and temporarily retired on October 31, 1929 .

From December 9, 1929, he was a councilor in the Koblenz government, and on February 19, 1935, a decree according to the provisions of Section 6 of the Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service put him into retirement. From then on he worked from December 1, 1940 until the end of the war in 1945 as an unskilled worker at the Oberpräsidium in Koblenz - Higher Education Department. From August 16, 1945, Russel was employed by the Koblenz government before resigning from civil service on October 31, 1945 at his own request.
