Alfredo Alcaín

Alfredo Alcaín (* 1936 in Madrid ) is a Spanish painter.

Life

He began his artistic studies at the "Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Fernando" in Madrid from 1953 to 1958, and also took courses in engraving and lithography at the State School for Graphics and Decoration in Madrid between 1961 and 1964. Im In 2003 he received the National Prize for Fine Arts.

Works

The style of his work is very close to Pop Art , which Alcaín recreates through transformation. He uses a variety of media and techniques, from posters, collages, to embroidery.
