Alfredo Niceforo

Alfredo Niceforo (born January 23, 1876 in Castiglione di Sicilia , Catania , † March 2, 1960 in Rome ) was an Italian sociologist and criminologist .

Niceforo taught anthropology and sociology at the Universities of Lausanne and Brussels, was 1919/20 Professor of Sociology at the Sorbonne , 1920–1931 Professor of Statistics at the University of Naples and from 1931 Professor of Criminology at the University of Rome . - Niceforo was a supporter of the views of Cesare Lombroso , so declared crime biologically.
