The Algie Glacier is a 40 kilometer long glacier in the Ross Dependency part of the Transantarctic Mountains . It flows immediately west of the Nash Range in a south-easterly direction into the Nimrod Glacier .
The New Zealand Ross Sea Committee named him after the New Zealand politician Ronald Algie (1888-1988), who supported the work of the New Zealand team in the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) during his tenure as Minister for Scientific and Industrial Research .
