Algorithms is a monthly, peer-reviewed scientific journal with a thematic focus on algorithms that has been published by MDPI according to the open access model since 2008 . At the beginning, Kazuo Iwama (Kyoto University, Japan) was the editor-in-chief. Henning Fernau (University of Trier) held this position between May 2014 and September 2019. The current editor-in-chief is Frank Werner (Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg).
