Ali Achour

Ali Achour (* 1949 in Oujda ) is a Moroccan diplomat .

Life

Achour attended a civil service school and is a Bachelor of Political Science in Rabat. From 1971 to 1973 Achour was employed in the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 1973 to 1978 Achour was accredited at the Moroccan Embassy in Copenhagen. From 1978 to 1979 Achour was the embassy secretary in Bern. From 1979 to 1982 Achour was Counselor in the Moroccan Foreign Ministry. From 1982 to 1986 he was Consul General in Málaga. From 1986 to 1989 Achour was Moroccan Consul General in Madrid. From 1989 to 1993 Achour headed the America department in the Moroccan Foreign Ministry. Achour is married and has three children.

In January 2006, Mohammed VI appointed Achour to his ambassador to the Holy See . On February 20, 2006 Achour submitted his letter of accreditation to Benedict XVI. in front. After the Pope quote from Regensburg , Mohammed VI called. Achour for advice to Rabat .
