Ali Saam

Ali Saam (* between 1960 and 1969 in Tehran ) is an Iranian actor.

Life

In his childhood, Saam was a fan of Hollywood heroes like Batman and Zorro . In the late 1970s, he went to the United States to get a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems. Later he started to play theater. In 2002 he made his first screen appearance as an Italian mafiosi in Redemption . In 2005 he played a transvestite in the comedy Jew Tales . Supporting roles followed, mostly as a villain.

He became known to a larger audience through the impersonation of the Revolutionary Guard Ali Khalkhali in Ben Affleck's Oscar-winning film Argo .
