The Cape Dunlop is a rock formation west of Dunlop Island at the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land .
The cape was discovered by participants in the Nimrod expedition (1907-1909) led by the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton . Shackleton gave the formation the name Rocky Point , which was later adjusted to the name of the opposite island. Both geographical objects are named after Henry Dunlop (1876–1931), a participant in the Nimrod expedition.
