The Dunlop Island is a rocky, 1.83 km long and 1.18 km wide island off the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located east of Cape Dunlop and the mouth of the Wilson-Piedmont Glacier . They are about 400 m away from the mainland coast.
The island was first mapped by participants in the Nimrod expedition (1907-1909) led by the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton . Shackleton named it after Henry Dunlop (1876–1931), a participant in the expedition.
