Ali Sabieh ( Somali Buurta Ali Sabieh , Arabic علي صبيح} also: Mountain of the National Emblem ) is a mountain in southern Djibouti . It is located in the Ali Sabieh region and is a well-known landmark.

The mountain is about 801 m high, but is a well-known landmark as it bears the Djibouti coat of arms . It overlooks Ali Sabieh from the east .
history

In 1945 the French colonial authorities had a Lorraine cross carved out on the mountainside. After Djibouti's independence in 1977, the symbol was removed and the new state coat of arms in a larger form was attached in its place.
