Alice Cruppi

Alice Julienne Cruppi (born February 14, 1887 in Paris ; died May 29, 1968 in Boulogne-Billancourt ) was a French writer and painter .

Life

Alice Nerik was born in 1887 and in 1913 married Marcel Cruppi (1883–1958), who had a doctorate in law . She became the daughter-in-law of the writer and feminist Louise Cruppi (1862-1925) and the politician Jean Cruppi (1855-1933).

As a painter, Cruppi exhibited six of her works in the Salon des indépendants from 1927 to 1929. She created portraits and landscapes and was a member of the Société des Artistes Français .

Cruppi wrote children's books . Her work Pattes blanches, lapin de Gascogne was awarded a prize of 500 francs from the Académie française in 1933 and was reprinted several times.
