Alice Karger

Alice Karger (born September 28, 1926 as Alice Köckritz ; † November 5, 2017 in Dresden ) was a German athlete .

Life

Karger, starting for the GDR , was successful in the 200-meter run in the 1950s .

On July 4, 1953, she was involved in an unofficial world record for the GDR national relay team in the 4 × 200 meter run in Krakow (1: 39.5 min: Annemarie Clausner , Ursula Jurewitz , Christa Seliger , Alice Karger).

In 1951 and 1952 she was GDR champion in the 200-meter run .

Alice Karger belonged to the sports club BSG Motor Dresden-Ost . With a height of 1.74 m, she had a competition weight of 66 kg.
