Alcippe (Amazon)
Alkippe ( ancient Greek Ἀλκίππη ) is an Amazon of Greek mythology .
In the Herakles myth she belongs to the entourage of the Amazon queen Hippolyte and is killed in battle by the hero Heracles when he tries to steal the magic belt from Hippolytes in his ninth task.
In the 1st century BC, the Greek historian Diodorus names her as the only Amazon who swore a chastity oath.
