Allan A. Lund

Allan Antoni Lund (* 1944 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish classical philologist .

Lund studied Latin and Modern Greek at the Universities of Copenhagen and Lund from 1970 . From 1970 to 1971 he studied on a scholarship at the University of Thessaloniki . Later study visits followed in 1984 in Rome, 1999 in Athens, 2000 in Berlin and 2004 in Kaliningrad. From 1986 to 1996 he did a research stay at the University of Munich . In 1991 his dissertation took place at the University of Copenhagen.

From 1990 to 1996 he was a lecturer for "Germanic Classical Studies" at the University of Munich and, in parallel, for the Danish language at the Munich Adult Education Center.

Lund was a guest lecturer at research institutions and universities such as the Academy of Sciences of the GDR in Berlin. Furthermore at the Humboldt University in Berlin , at the Commission for Germanic Archeology in Göttingen, at the Commission for Ancient History and Epigraphy in Munich, at the Universities of Bonn, Gothenburg, Odense, Kiel, Copenhagen, Trier, Tübingen, Udine and Aarhus .
