All my friends ( Japanese子 鹿 物語, Kojika Monogatari ) is a Japanese anime series that was produced from 1983 to 1985. It is based on the novel Spring of Life (original title: The Yearling ) by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings from 1938.

content

The series is about a boy named Jodie Baxter who lives with his family on a farm in the Florida forests. His father is bitten by a rattlesnake while hunting a bear, but he manages to save himself with the liver of a doe. Since she had a fawn, the Baxters take it. Jodie takes care of the animal, calls it stain and develops a deep bond with it. Other characters include Jodie's best friend Frederick Forrester, his classmate Eulalie, the teacher Miss Twink and Frederick's older brother Buck.

During the course of the series, Jodie has to endure many adventures and trials, as a result of which he slowly matures into a man. In the end, he has to cope with Frederick dying. In addition, he later has to shoot his beloved deer, Fleck, as it threatens the crops of the Baxter family.
