General construction newspaper (1836–1918)
The general construction newspaper for public construction services (sideline Försters Bauzeitung) was founded in 1836 by the architect Ludwig Förster and was the most important publication organ of the construction industry in the Austrian monarchy for decades . The newspaper in the format 2 ° , 4 ° appeared quarterly and contained numerous images for architects, engineers, decorators et cetera. Supplements were the "Literature and Advertisement Sheet for the Building Industry", "Ephemeris" and the "Building Regulations Sheet for the Austrian Empire".
The historically significant journal for contemporary architecture and the practical building trade, which was published until 1918, is freely accessible online at the Austrian National Library .
