Allians
Allians is a medium-early, waxy quality table potato that is suitable for salads. Allians was entered on the French list of varieties in 2003.
description
The breeder of the Allians variety is Europlant . Europlant presented Allians and Belana as successors to the Linda variety . Allians often emerged victorious at test dinners. The tubers of this variety are oval with flat eyes.
Cultivation and storage
Allians are less suitable for sandy locations and require an even supply of water and nutrients. Locations at risk of scab should be avoided, as Allians seem prone to this. The tubers of this variety are largely insensitive to damage and other diseases. It shows resistance to the nematodes Ro1 and Ro4. Like many potato varieties, Allians should also be supplied with magnesium ; In addition to the use of limestone containing magnesium, foliar fertilization with Epsom salt is possible. It should be noted that Allians reacts to the frequently used herbicidal active ingredient metribuzin with reduced yield. Allians needs appropriate pre-germination so that it can be stored well after harvest.
