Almeda Rive (* 1986) is a Canadian enduro athlete and underwater hockey player . She was a member of the Canadian national team several times in the International Six Day Race .

Career

Almeda Rive was born in South Africa and moved to Canada with her parents in 1998.

Almeda Rive started active motorsport in 2003. In 2004 she won the women's championship in the Canadian Cross Country Championship. In 2006 she was third in the Alberta Provincial Cross-Country Championship. In the same year she was second with the Canadian elite team at the Underwater Hockey World Championship.

As of 2007, Almeda Rive lived in California and mainly raced in the United States. In 2008 she won the US National Harescrambles Championship.

In 2010 she started with the Canadian women's team at the 85th International Six-Day Race in Mexico. There she failed on the third day. Then she took a break from competitive sports and was primarily active as an enduro trainer. At the end of 2011 she started again with enduro races and started at the Baja 1000 .

In 2012 she was again a member of the Canadian national team at the Six Days. In Saxony, she finished the 87th International Six- Day Tour injured on the fourth day .
