from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 85th international six-day race was the team world championship in enduro sport and took place from November 1st to 6th, 2010 in Morelia, Mexico, and the Sierra Volcánica Transversal . The national teams of France won the World Trophy for the fifth and third time in a row and the Women's Trophy for the third time in a row. The Junior World Trophy went to the Spanish national team for the sixth and second time in a row.

organization

The event took place in Mexico for the first time.

The competition included 13 teams for the World Trophy, ten for the Junior Trophy, seven for the Women's Trophy and 74 club teams from a total of 27 nations.

Germany took part in the World Trophy, Junior Trophy and Women's Trophy as well as with four club teams. Drivers from Switzerland and Austria did not start.

day 1

On the first day of driving, a circuit south-west of Morelia to be driven twice was on the program. Each lap included an enduro and three cross tests. Except for a short rain shower, the day remained free of precipitation. The terrain height of over 2000 meters was a particular challenge. A disadvantage was a run-up from faster to slower drivers, since the start was in alphabetical order.

After the first day of driving, the team from France led in the World Trophy classification, ahead of Italy and Finland. The German team was in 8th place.

In the Junior Trophy classification, the Spanish team was ahead of Sweden and France. The German team was in 8th place.

In the Women's Trophy, the French team led the teams from Germany and Sweden.

The club ranking led RFME ahead of Wellard Club and Team Ostra Gota. The best German club team was the DMSB 1 ADAC Sachsen team in 6th place.

day 2

On the second day, the route of the previous day was driven, and the special stages were also identical. Since the start of the ranking started on day 2, it was less likely to run into those in front.

As on the day before, the team from France led the World Trophy ranking ahead of Italy and Finland. The German team was still in 8th place.

As on the day before, the Spanish team led ahead of Sweden and France in the Junior Trophy classification. The German team improved to 7th place.

In the Women's Trophy, the French team led the teams from Sweden and the USA. The German team slipped to 4th place: Nina Oppenländer sustained serious injuries in a fall that forced her to give up.

The club ranking led RFME ahead of Wellard Club and Team Ostra Gota. The DMSB 1 ADAC Sachsen team remained on 6th place.

Day 3

The third day's stage was a circuit to be driven twice in the south and south-west of Morelia. The special tests were a cross and three enduro tests.

In the World Trophy classification, the team from France continued to lead ahead of Italy and Finland. The German team fell back to 8th place. In the German team, Stefan Hau had to give up the competition due to an upset stomach, so the daily result was used up.

The Spanish team continued to lead the Junior Trophy ranking ahead of Sweden and France. The German team was still in 7th place.

In the Women's Trophy, the French team led the teams from the USA and Sweden. After an injury sustained the day before, which turned out to be a broken bone, the second and last German rider, Heike Petrick, could no longer start either. The German team was in 4th place.

The club ranking still led RFME ahead of Wellard Club and Team Ostra Gota. The best German club team was the DMSB 2 MSC Freier Grund-DMV team in 11th place.

Day 4

On the fourth day the route of the third day was driven, and the special stages were also identical.

At the end of the fourth day of driving, the team from France continued to lead in the World Trophy classification, ahead of Italy and Finland. The German team was still in 8th place.

In the Junior Trophy classification, the Spanish team continued to lead ahead of Sweden and the USA. The German team was still in 7th place.

In the Women's Trophy, the French team was still ahead of the teams from the USA and Sweden. The German team was unchanged in 4th place.

The club ranking continued to lead RFME ahead of Wellard Club and Team Ostra Gota. The best German club team, Team DMSB 2 MSC Freier Grund-DMV, improved to 9th place.

Day 5

On the fifth day there was another stage in the south of Morelia, again two identical laps had to be completed. The special stages per lap were two motocross and two enduro tests.

The intermediate results after the fifth day of driving: In the World Trophy standings, the team from France continued ahead of Italy and Finland. The German team was still in 8th place.

In the Junior Trophy, the Spanish team continued to lead ahead of Sweden and the USA. The German team remained unchanged in 7th place.

In the Women's Trophy, the French team continued to lead the teams from the USA and Sweden. The German team was unchanged in 4th place.

As the day before, the club ranking led RFME ahead of Wellard Club and Team Ostra Gota. The DMSB 2 MSC Freier Grund-DMV team slipped to 10th place.

Day 6

The final motocross as the last special test should be carried out at the Autodromo Aguila. However, the last day of driving was canceled as a precaution due to unrest in the area and the potential danger it posed. Thus the intermediate results of the 5th day of driving were also the final results of the event.
