17. International six-day trip
The 17th International Six-Day Tour was an off-road motorcycle competition that took place from September 9-14, 1935 in Oberstdorf and the Allgäu Alps . The national teams of the German Reich were able to win the trophy for the third time in a row and the silver vase for the first time.

252 drivers from nine FICM motorsport associations were registered for the competition . Teams from five nations competed for the trophy. In addition, 15 silver vase, 35 factory and 18 club teams were at the start.
A gold medal was given to those who crossed the finish line without penalty points. For a silver medal, no more than 10 penalty points were allowed at the finish and a bronze medal was awarded to those who had not accumulated more than 50 penalty points.

Of the 252 registered drivers, 248 started the competition.
On the first day of the journey, the approximately 460-kilometer route led back to the starting point after starting in Oberstdorf via Immenstadt , Nellenberg, Weiler , Dürren, Neuwalderberg, Fuchstobel , Deggenhausen , Weingarten , Waltershofen , Buchenbergstrasse and Großdorf . A separate mountain test took place near Immenstadt.
In the Trophy ranking, the teams of the German Reich and Czechoslovakia were tied without penalty points. It was followed by Great Britain with 1 penalty point, Italy with 2 penalty points and France with 6 penalty points.
In the silver vase rating, the teams from the German Empire (A), Great Britain (B), Italy (B), the Netherlands (B) and Czechoslovakia (A) were tied without penalty points. In the German B team, Paul Rüttchen was eliminated from the competition, which from then on meant 100 penalty points a day. In addition, Rudi Knees received 21 penalty points. The Irish Free State B-Team was not scored because a driver did not show up for inspection.
34 drivers dropped out of the competition.
2 day
On the second day of the competition, the drivers had to cover around 480 kilometers. The route led over Rettenberg, Marktoberdorf , Rott , Starnberg , from Holzkirchen to Mitterdarching on the Autobahn 8 towards Salzburg, Taubenberg , Geretsried , Sankt Heinrich , over the Ammerbrücke , Roßhaupten , Görisried and the Oberjochpass back to Oberstdorf.
A “flat test” was carried out on the section of the motorway and a “high-performance test” was carried out at Roßhaupten.
In the Trophy classification, the teams of the German Reich and Czechoslovakia were still free of penalty points and were tied. It was followed by Great Britain with 1 penalty point, Italy with 2 penalty points and France with 106 penalty points. The latter team suffered a driver failure.
In the silver vase evaluation, the teams from the German Empire (A), Great Britain (B), Italy (B), the Netherlands (B) and Czechoslovakia (A) continued to have no penalty points and were tied.
25 drivers dropped out of the competition.
3rd day
On the third day there were again around 480 kilometers to drive, the destination was Titisee in the Black Forest. After starting in Oberstdorf, Missen , Kinbach-Geislehen, Fischbach , Espasingen , Tengen , Wittlekofen , Munchenland, Todtnauberg , Schönau , the Schauinslandstraße , Oberried and Falkensteig to Titisee .
Mountain tests were integrated at Missen and on Schauinslandstrasse.
In the trophy classification, only the German Reich team was still free of penalty points at the end of the day of driving. It was followed by Czechoslovakia with 3 penalty points, Great Britain with 101 penalty points, Italy with 102 penalty points and France with 213 penalty points.
In the silver vase evaluation, the teams from the German Reich (A) and the Netherlands (B) were still free of penalty points and were tied. In third place was Italy's senior team with 1 penalty point.
21 drivers dropped out of the competition.
4th day
The route of the fourth day of the journey was 494.5 kilometers long and started at the destination of the previous day in Titisee. Roof it went over Feldberg , Oberibach , Mambach , Sallneck , Badenweiler , Schönau, the Äulemer Kreuz ( 1137.6 m above sea level ), Bonndorf , Tengen, Espasingen, Fischbach, Kinbach-Geislehen and Missen to Oberstdorf.
At Schönau and Kinbach-Geislehen a mountain test each had to be taken.
In the trophy standings, the German Reich team with no penalty points was ahead of Czechoslovakia (6 penalty points), Great Britain (201), Italy (202) and France (364).
In the silver vase classification, only the A-team of the German Reich was free of penalty points at the end of the day and was therefore in the lead. The A-team of Czechoslovakia followed in second and third place with 3 penalty points and the Italian B-team with 7 penalty points.
20 drivers dropped out of the competition.
5th day
The route on the fifth day was around 440 kilometers long and led back to Oberstdorf via Hindelang , Moosbach , Sibratshofen , Oberstaufen , Scheidegg , Herben, Karsee, Ratzenried , Isny , Eschach and Immenstadt. At Hindelang a mountain test had to be taken on the Oberjochpassstrasse.
In the trophy standings, the German Reich team continued to lead ahead of the ČSR, Great Britain, Italy and France.
In the Silver Vase ranking, the A-team of the German Reich was also unchanged ahead of the A-team of the ČSR and the B-team of Italy.
14 drivers dropped out of the competition.
6th day
The last stage of the day was the shortest of the event at around 250 kilometers and, after starting in Oberstdorf, led via Sigishofen , Kranzegg , Petersthal , Marktoberdorf, Lengenfeld and Bernbeuren to Füssen . A final mountain test was integrated at Kranzegg.
The final race as a speed test was determined on an approximately 8.5 kilometers long triangular road course from Füssen.
Four drivers dropped out of the competition. Of the 248 riders who started on the first day, 130 reached the finish.
