80th international six-day trip
The 80th international six-day race was the team world championship in enduro sport and took place from 13 to 18 September 2005 in Považská Bystrica, Slovakia, and the surrounding area. The national teams of Italy won the World Trophy for the thirteenth time and the Junior World Trophy for the fifth time.

The event took place in Považská Bystrica for the fourth time, after the 52nd (1977), 57th (1982) and 66th International Six-Day Race (1991) were held here.
18 teams for the World Trophy, 12 for the Junior Trophy, 77 club teams and 6 individual starters from a total of 26 nations took part in the competition.
Germany took part in the World Trophy and with 6 club teams. 3 club drivers started for Switzerland. There were no drivers from Austria.
1 day
A total of 383 drivers started the first day of the competition. The route of this stage was two identical laps over a total of 233 kilometers in the north of Považská Bystrica. Four motocross and two enduro tests had to be completed as special tests.
After the first day of driving, the team from France led in the World Trophy classification, ahead of Italy and Finland. The German team was in 14th place.
In the Junior Trophy classification, the Italian team led ahead of France and Finland.
The club ranking was led by MOTOKLUB JIŘETÍN - PFANNER ahead of MOTOCLUB LUMEZZANE and WALES A TEAM. The best German club team was the ADAC HESSEN - THÜRINGEN team in 15th place. The ENDIVAL team from Switzerland took 15th place.
2 day
On the second day of driving, the identical stage of the previous day including the special stages was driven.
The team from Italy led the World Trophy ranking ahead of France and Finland. The German team was still in 14th place.
In the Junior Trophy classification, the Italian team continued to lead ahead of France and Finland.
The club ranking was led by MOTOCLUB LUMEZZANE ahead of MOTOKLUB JIŘETÍN - PFANNER and MOTOCLUB AZZURI. The German team ADAC HESSEN - THÜRINGEN improved to 9th place, the ENDIVAL team from Switzerland to 22nd place.
3rd day
The third day's stage was driven north and west of Považská Bystrica. Two identical laps had to be completed over a total of 249 kilometers as well as four motocross and two enduro tests as special stages.
In the World Trophy classification, the team from Italy continued to lead ahead of France and Finland. Sven Brettschneider left the German team , so the daily result was used up. The team improved to 13th place.
The Italian team continued to lead the Junior Trophy ranking ahead of France and Finland.
As on the day before, the club ranking was led by the MOTOCLUB LUMEZZANE ahead of the MOTOKLUB JIŘETÍN - PFANNER and the MOTOCLUB AZZURI. The German team ADAC HESSEN - THÜRINGEN remained unchanged in 9th place. Due to the failure of Alain Vaudan , the ENDIVAL team slipped to 48th place.
4th day
On the fourth day, the identical stage of the previous day including the special stages was driven.
At the end of the fourth day of driving, the team from Italy continued to lead in the World Trophy standings, ahead of France and Finland. Sebastian Pauly, the second driver of the German team, retired and the team slipped to 14th place.
In the Junior Trophy classification, the Italian team also continued to lead ahead of France and Finland.
The club ranking was led by MOTOCLUB LUMEZZANE ahead of MOTOCLUB AZZURI and MOTOKLUB JIŘETÍN - PFANNER. The German team ADAC HESSEN - THÜRINGEN improved to 8th place, the Swiss team ENDIVAL slipped to 50th place.
5th day
The fifth day's stage was held south of Považská Bystrica. With a total length of 270 kilometers, the two identical laps to be driven were the longest day stage of the event. Four enduro and two motocross tests had to be completed at special stages.
The intermediate results after the fifth day of driving: In the World Trophy ranking, the team from Italy led ahead of Finland and Sweden. The German team improved to 13th place.
In the Junior Trophy, the Italian team continued to lead ahead of France and Finland.
The club ranking was led by MOTOCLUB LUMEZZANE ahead of MOTOKLUB JIŘETÍN - PFANNER and KTM POLSKA & MOTOKLUB OLSZTYN. The German team ADAC HESSEN - THÜRINGEN slipped to 9th place, the Swiss team ENDIVAL improved to 46th place.
6th day
On the last day a short stage of 51 kilometers with the destination Sverepec was driven where the final race took place as the last special stage on the local motocross track.
