20. International six-day trip
The 20th International Six Days Enduro was a motorcycle off-road racing competition , which until 16 July 1938 by 11 in Welsh Llandrindod Wells took place. The national team of Great Britain was able to win the trophy for the eleventh and third time in a row. The silver vase won the national team of the German Reich for the second time.

The event took place for the third and second time in a row in Llandrindod Wells, after the 15th (1933) and 19th International Six-Day Races (1937) were held here.
216 drivers from seven FICM motorsport associations were registered for the competition . Teams from three nations competed for the trophy. In addition, eleven silver vase, 28 factory and 37 club teams were at the start.
1 day
Of the 216 registered drivers, 209 started the competition. On the first day of driving, 429.1 kilometers had to be driven.
In the Trophy classification, the teams from Great Britain and the German Reich were still free of penalty points and were therefore tied. Czechoslovakia took third place with 4 penalty points.
In the silver vase evaluation, the teams from Great Britain (A), Czechoslovakia, the Netherlands (A and B), Ireland (A and B), the German Empire (A) and Sweden were still without penalty points and were tied. In the B-team of the German Reich, Julius von Krohn received one penalty point, the team was in 9th place.
19 drivers dropped out of the competition.
2 day
On the second day of the competition, the drivers had to cover 433.8 kilometers.
In the trophy standings, the British team led ahead of Czechoslovakia and the German Empire. With Walter Fähler and Ludwig Kraus , the German team had to record two driver failures , which from then on meant 200 penalty points a day.
In the silver vase evaluation, the teams from Great Britain (A), the Netherlands (A), Ireland (A and B), the German Empire (A) and Sweden were still without penalty points and were tied. In the B-team of the German Reich, Julius von Krohn retired, the team dropped to 10th and last place.
57 drivers dropped out of the competition.
3rd day
On the third day, the route from the previous day was driven in the opposite direction.
In the trophy standings, the British team continued to lead ahead of Czechoslovakia and the German Empire. In the German team, Hermann Scherzer was the third driver to retire.
In the silver vase rating, the teams from Great Britain (A) and the German Empire (A) continued to score no penalty points and were tied. Third place went to the Dutch A team. In the B-team of the German Reich, Josef Hecker, the second driver retired, the team was still in last place.
26 drivers dropped out of the competition.
4th day
The route on the fourth day of the journey was 449.7 kilometers.
In the trophy standings, the team from Great Britain continued to lead ahead of Czechoslovakia and the German Reich.
In the silver vase rating, the teams from Great Britain (A) and the German Empire (A) continued to score no penalty points and were tied. Third place went to the Swedish team. The B-team of the German Reich was in last place.
17 drivers were eliminated from the competition.
5th day
The route on the fifth day was driven in the opposite direction from the stage on the fourth day of driving.
In the trophy standings, the British team continued to lead ahead of Czechoslovakia and the German Reich.
In the silver vase evaluation, only the German Reich A team continued without penalty points and led the evaluation. It was followed by the UK A team and the Swedish team. The B-team of the German Reich still came in last.
Seven drivers dropped out of the competition.
6th day
On the last day there were still 210.4 kilometers to complete. The destination was the Donington Park racetrack , where the final race took place.
One driver dropped out of the competition. Of the 209 riders who started on the first day, 82 reached the finish.
