program

The main focus of the gallery's activities is the trade, mediation and representation of international contemporary art . This includes various media such as painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video, film, as well as spatial works and installations. The exhibition program is based on the work of artists who deal with fundamental questions of art. The starting point is formed by the artistic positions that are important for art after 1945, most of which have their roots in the sixties and seventies (especially pop, minimal and concept art). In continuous and direct cooperation with the artists, the gallery regularly mediates their work in solo exhibitions, publications and at international art fairs. Galerie Mai 36 is represented at Art Basel , Fiac Paris, Arco Madrid, Frieze , Zona Maco, Art Basel Hong Kong and Art Basel Miami Beach . In addition, the gallery curates six solo exhibitions per year on its premises, as well as several group exhibitions.
