6. International six-day trip

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 6th International Six-Day Race took place from August 10th to 16th, 1924 in Chaudfontaine in Belgium.

For the first time, the silver vase, which was advertised at the suggestion of the Dutch Motorcycle Association, was also driven around. This enabled nations without their own motorcycle production to take part in a national competition.

28 drivers from Belgium, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom started. Two drivers were out on the first day. On the penultimate day of the competition, only 20 drivers started. At the end of the last day of driving, 16 drivers were still rated.

The individual daily stages started and ended in Chaudfontaine.

The British team won the trophy class without competition. The Norwegian team won the newly created silver vase rating.
