organization

After the 80th International Six-Day Race (2005), the event took place in Slovakia for the second time.

23 teams for the World Trophy, 13 for the Junior Trophy, six for the Women's Trophy and 96 club teams from a total of 31 nations took part in the competition.

Germany took part in the World Trophy and Junior Trophy, Women's Trophy and nine (including three mixed national) club teams. Switzerland took part in the World Trophy and Junior Trophy. Austria competed in the World Trophy, Junior Trophy and with two club teams.

1 day

Route of the 1st and 2nd day of travel

A total of 497 drivers took up the competition. The first day's stage of 275.4 kilometers led from Košice to the northwest. It was a two-way circuit with four time controls per lap. The special stages per lap were two enduro and one motocross test. The drivers who had reached the destination first in time were spared the heavy rain that set in immediately afterwards.

After the first day of driving, the team from the USA led in the World Trophy ranking ahead of Australia and France. The German team was 9th, the Austrian team 13th and the Swiss team 16th. In the German team, Nico Rambow was eliminated from the ranking. His motorcycle had ignition problems and he reached the following time control too late. With that, the daily deletion result was already used up.

In the Junior Trophy classification, the Australian team led ahead of Sweden and France. The German team was 9th, the Austrian team 12th and the Swiss team 13th.

In the Women's Trophy, the Australian team led the teams from France and Sweden.

Moto Club Italia led the club ranking ahead of Team Ostra Elite and KBS UAMK TEAM UNHOST. The best German club team was the DMSB 1-ADAC Westfalen / Sachsen team in 27th place. For Austria the MSC Dalaas International in 66th place.

2 day

The route on the second day of driving was identical to the previous day.

The team from Australia led the World Trophy ranking ahead of the USA and France. The German team was still on the 9th place, the Austrian and Swiss team slipped one place down to 14th and 17th place respectively.

In the Junior Trophy classification, the Australian team continued to lead ahead of Sweden and France. The German team slipped to 10th place, Austria and Switzerland were unchanged on 12th and 13th place respectively.

In the Women's Trophy, the Australian team continued to lead the teams from France and Sweden.

The club ranking was led by Team Ostra Elite ahead of VAMC Drie Musketiers and KBS UAMK TEAM UNHOST. The DMSB 1-ADAC Westfalen / Sachsen team improved to 23rd, MSC Dalaas International to 55th place.

3rd day

Route of the 3rd day of travel

The stage of the third day led again to the northwest and mostly used parts of the route from the previous days in the opposite direction. There were two laps to drive for a total of 283 kilometers. Four time controls and three enduro tests had to be completed as special tests per lap.

A group of eight missed a route marker and drove in the opposite direction by mistake. Affected were the World Trophy riders: Marc Bourgeois, Anthoni Boissiere and Jeremy Joly (all three France), Lorenzo Santolino and Cristobal Guerrero (both Spain), David Knight (United Kingdom), Taylor Robert (USA) and Manuel Monni (Italy) . It was only after about four kilometers that they noticed their mistake, independently looked for a way back to the correct route and thus missed a transit check, which meant that they were excluded. After hearing all those involved, the jury supported the expedition leader. To justify their actions, the drivers stated that it would have been too dangerous to drive back the route in the opposite direction, in the event that other misguided drivers would follow. - The national associations concerned submitted an appeal , a special protest, against this decision, which meant that the drivers could continue to participate. Their results did not appear in the results lists for the time being.

In the World Trophy standings, the team from Australia was ahead of the USA and France. The German team improved to 9th, the Austrian to 13th and the Swiss to 16th place.

The Australian team led the Junior Trophy ranking ahead of Sweden and the USA. The Austrian team improved to 11th place, followed by the German and Swiss teams in 12th and 13th place respectively. In the German team, Bruno Wächtler retired with engine failure, which meant that the daily result was used up.

In the Women's Trophy, the Australian team continued ahead of the teams from France and Sweden.

The club ranking led VAMC Drie Musketiers ahead of Team Ostra Elite and KBS UAMK TEAM UNHOST. The best German club team was the DMSB 5-ADAC Südbaden / Sachsen team in 35th place. The MSC Dalaas International improved to 49th place.

4th day

Route of the 4th and 5th day of travel

On the fourth day, there were two more circuits over a total of 267 kilometers. Four time controls as well as two enduro and one motocross tests were set up as special stages for each lap. After crossing the finish line, the first riders to arrive began to rain again.

At the end of the fourth day of driving, the team from Australia led in the World Trophy standings, ahead of France and Spain. The German team improved to 7th, the Austrian to 12th and the Swiss to 14th place.

In the Junior Trophy classification, as on the day before, the Australian team led ahead of Sweden and the USA. Without any changes from the previous day, the Austrian team was 11th, Germany 12th and Switzerland 13th.

In the Women's Trophy, the Australian team continued to lead the teams from France and Sweden.

VAMC Drie Musketiers continued to lead the club ranking ahead of Team Ostra Elite and KBS UAMK TEAM UNHOST. The best German club team was the DMSB 1-ADAC Westfalen / Sachsen team in 39th place. The MSC Dalaas International improved to 43rd place.

5th day

The route on the fifth day was identical to the previous day.

Due to the intervention of France, the FIM disciplinary court, the CDI (International Disciplinary Court), had instructed the jury to withdraw the disqualification of the drivers and provisionally include the results again. However, the decision-makers on site (including the jury and race director) were “ignored”. - But that was not a decision about the legal validity of the disqualification. This was only decided in later proceedings.

The intermediate results after the fifth day of driving: In the World Trophy ranking (according to the instructions above) the team from France led ahead of Australia and Spain. The German team was unchanged in 7th place. Austria slipped to 13th place. Like the day before, Switzerland was in 14th place.

In the Junior Trophy, the Australian team led ahead of Sweden and Italy. The Austrian team improved to 10th place, followed by the German and Swiss teams in 11th and 12th place respectively.

In the Women's Trophy, the Australian team continued to lead the teams from France and Sweden.

The club ranking was still led by VAMC Drie Musketiers ahead of Team Ostra Elite and KBS UAMK TEAM UNHOST. The DMSB 1-ADAC Westphalia / Saxony team improved to 39th place. The MSC Dalaas International was unchanged in 43rd place.

6th day

Route of the 6th day of travel

The last stage of the day led to the southern Kechnec , where the final motocross was held as the last special stage. The weather was late summer and there was no precipitation.

At the awards ceremony immediately following the competition, the Australian drivers who - taking into account the above. Disqualifications in the lead - when the overall runner-up was called, the winners podium demonstratively. They only left after express instructions from an official. When the French were called and climbed the podium, they were whistled by the majority of the audience. The drivers were honored and the trophy was presented, but their victory was not yet official.

World Trophy

On November 2, 2015, the FIM International Disciplinary Court ruled on the appeals of the Fédération Française de Motocyclisme, the Real Federación Motoclista Española and the Auto-Cycle Union against the decision of the international jury, which disqualified eight drivers who had missed a drive-through check . - The disqualification was in accordance with the rules and remains in place. As a result, the Australian national team was declared the winner.
